The Ukiah Gigabit Fiber Project, a partnership between the City of Ukiah and Vero Fiber Networks, is launching with a $5.58 million CPUC grant. Ukiah will own the 23-mile network, operated by Vero for 35 years, to bring affordable, high-speed internet to an estimated 1,700 locations. Construction is scheduled to begin this winter and is expected to be completed by late 2026.
