Ukiah Uses Opiod Settlement Funds to Expand Treatment Center

The Ukiah City Council unanimously allocated up to $300,000 in Opioid Settlement Funds for a “significant” expansion of the Ford Street Project, including a new treatment pavilion and a 24-bed Sober Living Facility, which will addresse the fentanyl crisis by helping manage withdrawal and reducing the hospital ER burden. Deputy City Manager Shannon Riley called the transformation of an “8-room boarding house into 24-bed treatment facility” a “unique opportunity.”
