The Ukiah Valley Water Authority is considering a 3% water rate increase for Ukiah residents in March, with further increases until July 2029, as approved by the City Council. Ukiah’s water director, Sean White, stated that five-year reviews and subsequent increases cover infrastructure costs and prevent larger future hikes. The proposal goes to the Executive Committee this month, with resident notices and protest forms sent mid-November. A public hearing and protest deadline are expected in February.
