On Monday, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a lost hiker on Big Canyon Road. A Search and Rescue Team and a Drone Response Team member were called in. The drone quickly located the missing individual, allowing a SAR Deputy and her K9, to safely guide the hiker out. This successful rescue demonstrates the vital role the Sheriff’s Office Drone Program will play in improving response, resource coordination, and saving lives in the Lake County community.
