The Merck Foundation launched the five-year, $22 million Collaborative for Equity in Cardiac Care on November 7, 2025, to improve cardiovascular care access in underserved U.S. communities. Eleven organizations received grants, including the Public Health Institute’s PHIL in Lake County, which will work with Hope Rising and Tribal leaders on the Heart-to-Heart Program for Native American and Latino residents.
