Sutter Health and SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West have successfully concluded contract negotiations, averting a strike at eight Northern California medical facilities, including Sutter Lakeside. More than 4,700 frontline healthcare workers overwhelmingly approved the new agreement, which provides 14% raises over the contract’s life and protects health and retirement benefits. The union stated the agreement “addresses critical issues around staffing and working conditions by ensuring fair pay and benefits,” allowing workers to continue serving patients without disruption.
