Smoke From Oregon Wildfires Over Weekend Expected to Clear With Predicted Wet Weather

Smoke from Oregon’s Moon Complex wildfires impacted air quality in Mendocino County, with hazy skies and a noticeable smoke odor reported across parts of the North Coast and San Francisco Bay Area over the weekend. Ignited by lightning on September 3 in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, the fires had burned 12,650 acres and were 10% contained as of Saturday. Southerly winds should have cleared the air and expected rain is hoped to keep air quality good.
