A revised North Harbor plan, developed by the Mendocino Council of Governments after community pushback, is hoped to address traffic and conflicts on the road to North Harbor. The new plan includes an improved Highway 1 stairway, enhanced beach parking, potential water taxis, a coastal trail, and a hillside pedestrian path. Although the plan would require approval of a number of jurisdictions, the plan does offer those jurisdictions the opportunity to now look for funding of the project.
