Middletown Middle School started construction on a new $12 million, 14,000-square-foot gym, funded by the 2018 Measure H bond. The facility, which includes courts, 500 seats, locker rooms, classrooms, a lobby, and a ticket booth, was delayed by state approvals.The gym will be available for outside organizations, and the district is seeking state matching funds for the classrooms. Arntz Builders is the contractor.
