Federal funding cuts initiated by the current administration have severely impacted the Mendocino Food Network and Fort Bragg Food Bank, despite state efforts. Distribution cuts, quantity limits, and job losses are affecting over 14,500 families. The Fort Bragg City Council has helped, giving the network $58,000. Amanda Friscia, Executive Director of the Mendo Food Network, which includes the Fort Bragg Food Bank, lauded staff, volunteers, and community support, and urges donations and asks for more volunteer help.
