Lake County Officials to Consider New Power Provider

Lake County officials will meet next Tuesday, the 30th, at 5 p.m. to discuss a public power generation proposal. The meeting will explore an alternative to PG&E. Sonoma Clean Power will present their successful model, which has saved customers over $100 million and powers 87% of electric customers in Sonoma and Mendocino counties with solar, wind, battery, and new geothermal systems. The Clearlake City Council will vote on the matter on October 2nd, with the Lake County Board of Supervisors and Lakeport City Council voting on the decision on Tuesday, Oct. 21st.
