A structure fire erupted Monday evening at 2260 Appolinaris Drive, east of Ukiah, prompting a major emergency response. First reported around 7:31 p.m., heavy black smoke poured from the garage of a two-story residence. All occupants were safely evacuated. By 7:43 p.m., the primary fire was knocked down. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office assisted as firefighters protected nearby buildings; no immediate wildland threat was reported.
