The city of Ukiah is hosting a picnic Saturday at the site of a proposed new park at the east end of Norgard Lane, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Community Services Director Neil Davis said that outreach hasn’t yet been done to the extent that would allow him to say definitively whether or not the community is in favor. Davis also said the idea is in its first steps, so input from the local community is crucial.
