Second Gas Main Struck in Ukiah on Monday

Emergency personnel responded to a major gas leak in downtown Ukiah on Monday, after a construction crew struck a six-inch gas main while road grading. Roads were closed, power shut down, and several blocks were evacuated as a precaution. Access to the area was reopened around 8 pm Monday. This was the second time in four days that the construction crew hit a gas line. According to the City of Ukiah, the two lines that were struck were not known to PG&E.
