Tainted Eggs Sicken Many in Seven States, Some Sold in Mendocino County

A salmonella outbreak in seven states in the West and Midwest has forced the recall of around 1.7 million eggs sold by The August Egg Company between February and May. The CDC has said at least 79 people have been sickened with 21 being hospitalized. The recall includes eggs sold in Mendocino County, at Walmart, Safeway, Raley’s and FoodMaxx.
