The Konocti Unified School District will soon have two school resource officers. On Thursday, the Clearlake City Council approved a new memorandum of understanding which will provide that additional officer. Police Chief Tim Hobbs said the program has been successful in the past and the new addition will be most welcome. The school district will foot the bill for both officers, at a cost of just under $322,000 annually, including salary, benefits, training, vehicle usage costs and training.
