The Mendocino Unit of CAL FIRE will carry out a 10-acre prescribed burn on the Shamrock Ranch southeast of Laytonville this evening between 6 and 9 pm. The burn will create a patchwork of burned and unburned areas to reduce wildfire risk. The Shamrock Ranch is located east of Hwy. 101 and southeast of Laytonville.
