A fast-moving fire dubbed the Cache Fire broke out in Lake County near Walker Ridge on Tuesday afternoon, burning just under 10 acres. Strong winds pushed the blaze downhill, sparking several smaller fires. Several air crews were on hand. Smoke was clearly visible on ALERT California wildfire cameras. By mid-afternoon, the fire was no longer spreading, and crews had it about 20% under control.
