A female pedestrian has died as the result of a collision with a vehicle in Ukiah earlier in the week. Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a local convenience store on a hit-and-run call to find the pedestrian lying on the ground. EMS rendered aid to the woman as officers determined that she’d collapsed to the ground and a vehicle hit her while pulling into the parking lot. The pedestrian was transported by air ambulance to and out of area trauma center, where she later died. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
