Mendocino County Awarded CalTrans Grant to Connect Two Roads N. of Ukiah

CalTrans has awarded the Mendocino County Department of Transportation a $39.9 million grant to connect two roads just north of Ukiah. In the Forks area, Redemeyer Road will be extended westward via a bridge over the Russian River, followed by a crossing over the railroad tracks before connecting with N. State Street. The total cost of the projects is roughly $52 million, with the state grant being matched by $3.9 million from the county and the remaining $8.2 million to be secured through grants and other external funding.
