The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a kayaker off the shore of Clearlake. Deputies, including Marine Patrol units, responded to the report of a man in the water after flipping his kayak around 9 am on Thursday. The man was located and brought ashore. His name is being withheld pending notification of family. An autopsy is scheduled.
