There was a great deal of confusion regarding the water quality alert issued by the county public health department. Mendocino County Public Health officials have now released more information regarding issues with water in the town of Mendocino. A report shows three full-service food facilities in Mendocino were identified by the California State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water as having monthly water sample results that did not meet state potability standards. There have been no reported illnesses connected to water quality at any of those three businesses. No boil water order has been issued for the town; water in town is safe to drink. Mendocino County Public Health staff will be outside Mendosa’s Harvest Market on Lansing Street from 10 to 3 today to answer any questions.
