A woman died from injuries she received after rear-ending a tractor-trailer Monday evening at the intersection of Highway 247/ Old Woman Springs Road and Barstow Rd. The semi was traveling northbound on Barstow Road and had entered the intersection after coming to a stop at a 4-way stop sign. The woman, driving eastbound on Old Woman Springs Rd at a high rate of speed, failed to stop at the stop sign and hit the back of the semi. The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver wasn’t injured. CHP continues to investigate the crash.
