A man from Little River has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported a call requesting a welfare check after suspected gunfire was heard. Deputies responded to the 41000 block of Little River Airport Road late last Thursday night and contacted 58-year-old Ignacio Andrade-Zamora. Deputies checked on the female resident and had EMS respond to evaluate her. There was evidence of a firearm being discharged in the home. A search warrant was served, and it was determined that a violent assault with a firearm had occurred. Andrade-Zamora was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, elder abuse, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and was booked into Mendocino County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
