A Lakeport man who was the primary suspect in an ongoing string of property crimes in Lake County has been arrested. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says that Jeremy Wayne Griffin, 38, was taken into custody on March 26 after a brief foot pursuit. Griffin had outstanding warrants from Lake and neighboring counties, and through the investigative efforts of the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Community Oriented Policing and Targeted Restoration Unit, and Lake County Narcotics Task Force was linked to thefts in Loch Lomond and Kelseyville. He’s being held at the Hill Road Correctional Facility on numerous charges,s including burglary and kidnapping, as well as numerous felony and misdemeanor offenses tied to his outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $636,000.
