Fort Bragg Woman Arrested on Numerous Charges After Trespassing

A Fort Bragg woman was arrested mid-week for trespassing and assaulting officers with flowerpots.  Just after midnight on Wednesday, officers responded to reports of a woman screaming and banging on the front door of an apartment in the 200 block of East Redwood Avenue.  When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Jenny Malagon of Fort Bragg on the balcony of an apartment waving a knife, pacing, screaming, and throwing flowerpots.  Malagon is known to local law enforcement.  Officers tried to de-escalate the situation.  She broke a window and entered the apartment.  An officer followed her in, unlocked the door to allow officers to escort the occupants out.  Malagon was finally taken into custody after hiding in the bathroom.  She was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon likely to cause great bodily harm, resisting officers, felony vandalism, trespassing on occupied property, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
