A vehicle crash near Hopland left the driver trapped in the vehicle in a creek on Tuesday morning. Shortly after 5 am, the vehicle drove off Highway 175 near Pratt Ranch Road, plunged down a 40-foot embankment, and into a free, trapping the driver in about four feet of water. It is believed the vehicle’s brakes may have failed.. The driver was extricated and was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
