The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch and a winter storm advisory for Lake County and the Mendocino County interior. Rain is expected for much of that area, with the possibility of snow at higher elevations. Areas above 1500 feet could see wet snow accumulations of 1-5 inches and windy conditions. Road conditions along the 101 could be impacted, especially in mountainous areas. Avoid non-essential travel in affected areas. County agencies are monitoring the weather and prepared to respond.
