The Mendocino County Office of Emergency Services, in coordination with Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, the National Weather Service, and the Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group, has announced it will hold the annual North Coast Tsunami Drill tomorrow, Wednesday at around 11am. A MendoAlert message will be sent to all coastal communities, prompting residents in low-lying tsunami hazard zones to practice their evacuation plans. This year’s drill will not include a test of the tsunami sirens. Register for the drill and find more information at mendoready.org.
