The Ukiah Valley Fire Authority responded to an apartment complex in Ukiah on Friday night. Firefighters encountered heavy flames involving two buildings of the complex at 151 Lovers Lane. Mutual aid calls were sent out, bringing crews from Redwood Valley, Hopland, Potter Valley, Willits, and Cal Fire. Nine units in the complex were destroyed, displacing 37 residents. Thankfully no one was injured. The Red Cross is working on assisting those displaced. The cause of the fire is thought to have been accidental.
