At its most recent meeting, the Ukiah City Council voted unanimously to approve a resolution that will increase fees to pay for local firefighting services. The fees will only be used for the expansion of facilities and apparatus to serve new areas, and will not be used for personnel or wages and only apply to new construction. The updated fees will be a one-time charge for new developments and apply only to construction within the fire district’s jurisdiction.
