A beach hazards statement in effect for Coastal Mendocino County this evening through late Friday night. An increased threat of sneaker waves is expected. Large, unexpected waves can sweep across the beach without warning. Avoid rocks and jetties as well as steep beaches. Stay much farther back
from the water, as these types of waves are unpredictable.
