The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office sent its Search and Rescue team to assist in a search near the Humboldt-Mendocino county line, south of Shelter Cove for an 84-year-old man reported missing late last week. David Taylor of Whale Gulch lives alone in the remote community, and it is thought he may have been missing for at least three weeks, as no one has seen him since then. Authorities are urging residents to be on the lookout for Taylor or his vehicle, a silver or tan 1990’s Nissan Pathfinder, and are urged to share any information regarding his whereabouts with law enforcement.
