Three horses were killed as the result of an accident involving the motorhome towing the horses in their trailer along State Route 20 just east of Clear Lake on Sunday night. The crash sent the horse trailer down an embankment. The driver and passengers in the motorhome sustained minor injuries. The eastbound lane of Highway 20 was blocked for a time as emergency crews and animal control worked to clear the injured and the wreckage.
