Two Brothers Lost in Mendocino National Forest Rescued

Two brothers lost after their vehicle was trapped at a low water crossing in the Mendocino National Forest were rescued this past weekend. The Glenn County Sheriff’s office reported it received a Public Safety Answering Point message from an Apple SOS signal late afternoon on Friday. Search and rescue responded to locate the two brothers who had become separated. The men had been using Google Maps to navigate in the forest, which is not advised by the Sheriff’s office, as the maps can be inaccurate.
