The cleanup of illegal dumpsites on tribal property in Round Valleyhas gotten some financial help. The Round Valley Tribes, have been faced with keeping their reservation clear of illegal dumpsites and abandoned grow sites. In 2021, the tribal directors began looking for community assistance to cleanup those areas and in 2024, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors announced assistance in the form of a $500K grant to help. The next step is putting the cleanup out for public bids. The project will initially target two main dumpsites.
