New evidence submitted by Auditor Chamise Cubbison’s defense in her civil suit outlines a pattern of deliberate actions to block her from becoming the county auditor by DA David Eyster. Days before Judge Ann Moorman is due to sit for Cubbison’s preliminary hearing in the criminal case against her have brought revelations that Eyster has had a vendetta against Cubbison. Cubbison’s attorney in the civil suit, Therese Cannata, in a 14-page brief states that the criminal case is part of a broader county conspiracy to oust Cubbison, and worked as far back as 2021 to discredit Cubbison.
