A mushroom hunter gone missing in the Jackson Demonstration State Forest on Monday has been found safe. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Linda Doar had been out with friends, wandered away from her group and then failed to meet up with them. Sheriff’s deputies launched an immediate search to no avail, and the next morning around 7 am, Search and Rescue arrived just in time to find Doar walking out of the woods on her own. She was treated by paramedics for a minor injury and then released.
