Firefighters from Lake County have traveled to Los Angeles to help fight the fires there. Four Lakeport personnel set out on Saturday as part of a strike team with engines from Kelseyville. They join the more than 14,000 personnel, including almost 1700 National Guard members in fighting the fires. More than 1700 pieces of firefighting equipment are in place, including 1350 engines and 80 aircraft.
