Details in Cubbison Civil Case Reveal Divided House, Possible Vendetta

Details are coming to light in the Chamise Cubbison civil case that point to a prolonged and dedicated vendetta against the suspended County Auditor by County D.A. David Eyster. New court filings and statements made under oath point to a concerted effort by Eyster to discredit Cubbison in order to remove her from the office of Treasurer-Tax Collector and Auditor-Controller after she challenged his spending record. Cubbison’s attorney said the “cause” cited for her removal from office was based on charges from the DA without a hearing or inquiry into Cubbison’s supposed misconduct. Hearings as to whether the criminal case against Cubbison should be dismissed continue on Tuesday, after which Judge Ann Moorman is expected to pass down a ruling.
