Body Found Under Noyo Bridge Confirmed to Be Missing Transgender Teen

The Mendocino County Sheriff’s office reports that the body found on the south side of the jetty in Noyo Harbor at the base of the Noyo Bridge have been positively identified as missing transgender teen Roy Mora. Mora disappeared the night of December 7th, after heading out to see the holiday lights parade. An intensive search was launched, and the Fort Bragg Police Department ran down leads, including reviewing surveillance footage and going through the 15-year-olds phone after it was turned in. Dental records were used to make a positive identification. The cause and manner of Mora’s death is still undetermined, awaiting the coroner’s report. Law enforcement says there have been no signs of foul play.
