A beach hazards statement has been extended through Monday afternoon for Coastal Mendocino. Sneaker ways are possible, sweeping across the beach unexpectedly, carrying people off the beach, rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can also carry heavy, unseen objects that can crush a person. Stay farther away from the beach and never turn your back on the ocean.
