$15 Million in Grants Coming to Lake County for Broadband

Three Lake County broadband infrastructure projects have been awarded a share of 48 million dollars as part of the Last Mile Federal Funding Account grant program. The program is intended to expand broadband access for underserved and unserved communities in the state. The grants will bring 15 million dollars to two projects proposed by AT&T in the area of Hidden Valley Lake and Mount Hannah and another by Mediacom, which will have sites near Clearlake, Clearlake Oaks, Kelseyville, and Lakeport. The three projects will benefit roughly 7,000 residents in those areas.
