Lower Lake Man to Serve 40 Years for Child Porn, Abuse

An FBI investigation has resulted in a long prison term for a Lower Lake man. Peerliss Christopher Brooke, 23, was sentenced to 40 years to life and a lifetime as a registered sex offender. The FBI, working on a tip, contacted the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Clearlake Police about videos of the sexual abuse of a 7-year-old female victim that was being shared across social media platforms. Brooke was arrested and could have been sentenced to 100 years or more in prison, but he pleaded no contest and entered a plea agreement that would avoid a trial. Brooke was a standout football player and wrestler at Lower Lake High School and had no criminal history before being arrested.
