Governor Gavin Newsome has declared a state of emergency for Mendocino County in connection with the 7.0 magnitude earthquake and aftershocks that hit the area on Thursday. The declaration will allow state agencies to quickly assist any emergency response in the county and make for faster recovery by those affected.
