Good samaritans saved a four-year-old child after a crash that left two vehicles in Rattlesnake Creek over the weekend. A vehicle driven by 47-year-old Todd McKay of Garberville began to hydroplane on NB US 101 at Spy Rock Road during heavy rain. His vehicle ran into another driven by 56-year-old Anthony Fair of Philo. Both tumbled down an embankment and entered the creek upside down. Barrett Thomas and Abram Hill, an off-duty volunteer firefighter performed CPR on McKay’s 4-year-old child. All involved are expected to make a full recovery.
