Lakeport has opened a sandbag station in response to current storms. The Public Works Department will provide sand, shovels, and bags while supplies last at a self-serve station at 901 Larrecou Lane, near Konocti Avenue. Sand stations are also open across Mendocino County. Most of the stations are self-serve and supplies will vary at most stations. There are stations at the corner of Hwy 101 and 175 in Hopland, Friedmans Home Improvement and Aaction Rents in Ukiah, the Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire District station, the Willits Justice Center, the Laytonville Volunteer Fire Department, and at the CV Starr Community Center in Fort Bragg.
