Most Races in Lake County Still Too Early to Call

Most races in Lake County remain too close to call. TheLakeCountyNews reports initial counts of the county’s precincts stood at just 21% of registered voters. Based on past presidential elections, voter turnout is expected to be around 70%. Candidates in city council and school board races were separated by narrow margins with only fractions of the total votes counted. One race that may have been decided is Measure U, asking that the town of Kelseyville change its name to Konocti. Based on early numbers, almost 72% of voters said no to the name change.
