A high surf advisory is in effect for the Mendocino Coast starting early morning on Tuesday and running through 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Large breaking waves of 20 to 24 feet are expected, creating dangerous surfing conditions and breaking waves along beaches, large rocks, and jetties. Exercise caution as waves can overwhelm and sweep people into the sea. Beachcombing is highly discouraged.
