With almost 11 million Californians expected to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday, the California Highway Patrol will begin a maximum enforcement period starting at 6 pm this evening and running through just before midnight on Sunday, December 1st. Last year, the MEP resulted in over 1,000 arrests for driving under the influence with 27 fatal crashes in the CHP’s jurisdiction.
